The Reflect Campaign is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose goal is to provide the children of Cambodia with a simple, practical, and inexpensive solution to help save their lives – REFLECTIVE TAPE. This product can easily be applied to bicycles or backpacks. Children riding their bicycles or walking along the unlit roadsides at night are not being seen. In a country where unintentional roadside accidents and fatalities are staggering and on the rise, a simple solution such as reflective tape makes such tragedies easily preventable.

In Cambodia, the number of roadside accidents has increased over the past decade or so as the country struggles to keep up with the demands of a growing population and economy as it emergence on the global market as a tourism destination and a viable business investment. Many of these accidents go unreported and undocumented, and the victims go without proper medical attention and care. Of those killed and injured, children are increasingly vulnerable. With population growth, poor and reckless driving abilities, traffic laws which are not enforced and poor road conditions, the number of injuries and fatalities among the youth of Cambodia will only increase in the coming years.

Taking into consideration that about 50% of Cambodia’s population is under the age of 15, something as simple, practical and cost-effective as reflective tape can make a difference in saving a child from serious/permanent injuries or death. The social and economic impact on a family and country could be enormous.
